Registration for two Nicaragua Mission Trips in 2015 will be available shortly. The dates for the two trips are as follows:

Nicaragua Photography Mission Trip – August 16-23, 2015

Nicaragua Medical/Dental Mission Trip – October 18-25, 2015

On August 16 and again on October 18, 2015 a group of people will be traveling to Managua, Nicaragua for one of two very special projects. You could be part of that group.

Photography Mission Project

The photography project is a rather unique in it’s focus. Rather than building a building or some other worthwhile endeavor, we will instead be taking student pictures and building a school yearbook for an elementary school with over 310 students. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere (second only to Haiti). The school, LifeLink International, is located in a very poor section of Managua. All of the students live locally and their education is funded by outside sources. While it may not seem like a big deal to people in North America, having a personal photo will be a treasure for them and their families. We will also be taking portraits of their families while we are there and may be able to do some other photography projects as well.

So the primary skill set for this project calls for people with a more technical aptitude, particularly those familiar with digital photography and desktop publishing. Also needed will be those who are fluent in Spanish or good at organization and crowd-control.
