Registration for the two 2015 Nicaragua Mission Trips is now open. The dates for the two trips are as follows:

Nicaragua General Purpose Mission Trip – August 16-23, 2015

Nicaragua Medical/Dental Mission Trip – October 18-25, 2015

On August 16 and again on October 18, 2015 a group of people will be traveling to Managua, Nicaragua for one of two very special projects. You could be part of one or maybe even both groups. Both projects will be working with LifeLink International, a Christian organization that operates an elementary school near Managua.

General Purpose Mission Project

This mission trip began as a photography-only mission trip, but interest for that has been low this year, so it is now being expanded to include a variety of endeavors. Specific photography projects will still be possible, but other projects are now available as well.

Possible projects on this trip include construction (block laying, concrete pouring, etc), children’s ministry programs, English language instruction, student health assessments, gymnastics programs, music programs or helping with food preparation in the school kitchen. Please indicate your interest in one or more area when you fill out the application. If possible, recruit some friends to go with you so you can work on a project together.

The primary skill set for this project calls for people with a willingness to serve. Also needed will be those who are fluent in Spanish but you need not be fluent in Spanish to teach or put on a program.

Project Date: August 16-23, 2015

Project Cost: Details coming soon (last year’s cost was $1750)

Included in the price: airfare to/from Orlando, Florida, all food, ground transportation, travel insurance, accommodations and the costs of the project.

Medical/Dental Mission Project

The purpose of the medical/dental mission trip will be to focus on both the medical/dental needs of the students at LifeLink International (see link above) as well as the community health needs of a village near Cuidad Sandino, Nicaragua (a suburb of Managua). The project will be split evenly between two days on the campus of the school and two days in a remote Nicaraguan village. Medical supplies will be purchased in Nicaragua and are included in the cost of the project. The school has begun setting up a clinic on campus and they do have some limited medical equipment. Also needed for this project are those who are fluent in Spanish (especially medical terminology) and those who can help organize and keep records.

Project Date: October 18-25, 2015

Project Cost: Details coming soon (should be around $1700)

Included in the price: airfare to/from Orlando, Florida, all food, ground transportation, travel insurance, accommodations and the costs of the project.
